Advanced Close-Range Aerial Roof Inspection + Annotation
The first step in Roof RX inspection process is a drone roof inspection. This is completed by a licensed, certified, telecom-grade drone pilot using a 4/3 sensor camera to conduct a manual flight within three feet of the roof’s surface. The captured imagery is then rigorously annotated with any potential damage or other issues and compiled into a 3D model of the property to provide spatial context. Everything is then packaged for review by Roof RX’s team of Credentialed assessors (Step 2).

Once the annotated, high-resolution images from the drone flight are delivered to our assessment team, Roof RX’s Credentialed assessors begin their review of the images. Whether it was the property owner, contractor, insurance carrier or agent, the assessors are entirely In-the-Blind – resulting in 100% unbiased, impartial assessment not shaded by any influence.

From drone capture to Prescription delivery, the standard timeline is 7-10 days. This includes human annotation, In-the-Blind assessment by a Credentialed inspector, and quality review. The total time from scheduling to receiving your deliverable is typically about one week.
What happens after I receive my Roof RX Prescription?
The choice is yours. You can fulfill the Prescription through a Roof RX in-network contractor (who executes to the prescribed standard), hire your own contractor using the Prescription as a scope guide, or take no action if the Prescription confirms your roof is in good condition.
Can a Roof RX Prescription be challenged?
Prescriptions are based on field-verified data assessed by Credentialed inspectors. The data supports the conclusions. If there is a legitimate concern about a specific finding, the assessor can review the annotated data set. The strength of the process is that it’s evidence-based, not opinion-based.
What drones does Roof RX use for inspections?
Roof RX uses drones equipped with 4/3 sensor cameras and mechanical shutters for crisp, motion-blur-free imagery. Pilots fly manually within three feet of the roof surface – compared to automated systems that fly at 10–40 feet. All pilots are telecom-grade operators with FAA Part 107 certification.
